How

An in-depth 360 assessment, which included interviewing everyone from past and present employees to management, revealed the deep cracks in this promising company’s foundation. But more importantly, it allowed the partners to clearly see how their actions and styles were severely hindering the start-up’s mission and ultimate vision. While one executive found great market success, he had lost touch with his employees — and they felt it. The other executive compensated with a controlling style that allowed for little self-expression or career fulfillment. Each developed different visions for the company and tried to counteract the mounting disconnects and structural issues with reactions that only increased distrust, resentment, and poor morale among staff. Both executives received coaching and quickly made positive changes.
