After conducting a 360 assessment, I was able to quickly pinpoint the executive’s strengths, shortfalls, blind spots, and source of his team’s ongoing struggle. His command and control style sent a loud and clear message to his team: that nothing could happen without his involvement. That meant even though many talented people worked with him, they came to believe that their ideas, skills, and contributions didn’t matter.
Together, we outlined a plan to shift from this limiting style to one that would better involve his team and utilize the talents and strengths they were hired for.
